Gobbo's Run
Gobbo has just escaped from a drow prison and has no choice but to explore a dangerous crypt in search of trinkets to sell to the ferrier, in the hopes of securing their ultimate escape. As you guide Gobbo through the dungeon, be careful not to venture too far—this adventure might just be their last!
Hunt for valuable items in each room, keep them, once you explore all rooms or give up you can chance the ferrier.
Thank you for playing my 72hour submission and the 10th game I've made! I really focused on creating a fun and engaging experience, applying what I’ve learned from my past projects. My main goal with this game was to build something that truly fit the theme, and instead of sticking to ideas I was already familiar with, I challenged myself to figure things out as I went along.
Originally, I had planned to make a solitaire-like version of Agricola, and while I think it could have been great, late on Friday night I realized I didn’t have the skills to manage all the systems and moving parts required. So, I pivoted to a roguelite/adventure concept that I had considered before, which I felt was more feasible and fitting for the theme. The biggest challenge was getting everything polished, especially the little details that I hadn’t anticipated, like coding the monster attacks—something that ended up taking much longer than I expected.
Despite the hurdles, I’m really happy with how this turned out. It’s not perfect, and I would have loved to include more story, humor, and narrative elements, but overall, this game is a big step forward compared to what I made last year. That progress makes me proud.
Anyway, thanks for playing, and good luck on your adventure!
Under the Hood
None of the art in this game is mine—I used asset packs and images from Pixabay. I wanted to make the game feel as "exploratory" as possible, but in reality, it's mostly random. Every time you go through a door, you end up in a random room. Some items give you buffs, but if you lose the item, you also lose the gold. Winning the game is based on a random roll out of 100—if you collect more copper than your roll, you win.
I would have liked to include more informed choices for players, but it took too long to get all the elements in place. Maybe in future iterations, I'll refine this part!

Awesome game. Loved the aesthetics! Love the gambling aspect of the game.
This was really fun. Got a bit greedy, paid for it. Played it smart and I got through!
